I know everybody is starting in with the gun control debate again (and I’m not going to go there nor do I want you to do so), but maybe, just *maybe*, the real issue is a culture where we are all actively being manipulated by hate and fear, misinformed about and handicapped by an encouraged ignorance of others, and so desensitized to cruelty and inhumanity that we call it strength and bravery and absolutely take pride in it when we exhibit it ourselves? Maybe we should stop and fully consider why all these shooters want to kill roomfulls of other people in the first place, without dismissing every single shooter as merely insane and carrying on as usual? Maybe the gun control debate is just another divisive distraction to ensure no real change will happen?
